Girl on Fire

Katniss Everdeen is a 16 year old girl who lives on the melancholy side of Panem, District 12. If you've never read the Hunger Games, you may think that she is a simple girl who lives on the down side of the world. But there's more to this fiery girl.

Meet Prim, her sister 12 years old, now into a dramatic phase. This is the year where she could be in the Hunger Games, a game of life and death. Since this is her first year, she must be scared head to toe. Just think of how she felt when she was picked. This is where Katniss comes into play.

" I volunteer! I volunteer as a tribute!" Katniss volunteered for her sister. Her sister begs her not to, but it is her hunting partner, Gale, who pries Prim off Katniss. His face is trying to conceal pain as he hoists a sobbing Prim.
Gale and Katniss lost their fathers in a mine accident, and now are hunting partners, getting food for both of their families,from picking, scavenging, making snares and hunting they get food. Now it's time to see what will happen to Katniss in the Games? With her ingeniousness and the ability to shoot beat people who have trained for years? Who have used their lives learning fighting for the Games?
