Haymitch, and Effie

Let's talk about the people who are helping Katniss and Peeta during the Games. Meet Effie,the capitol girl, who escorts Katniss and Peeta. Piling with new fashion designs from the capitol, she covers herself in heavy makeup, comical wigs, 6'' high heels, pencil skirts, and new fur fashion. Effie preaches, scolds, yells, and baby talks Katniss about how to wear high heels, how to be a little happy from time to time, and how to smile in front of a boisterous crowd.

Haymitch comes in, pushing past a jumpy Effie, and collapses into a velvet armchair, letting his liquor bottle fall to the floor. Shards of chipped glass fall at his dirty toenails. Yes, this is Haymitch Abernathy, Katniss' and Peeta's only hope of surviving the games. The only person in District 12 who won the Hunger Games. He's Katniss' and Peeta's drunk mentor, who instructs them what to do, and asks wealthy people from the capitol to give money to Haymitch so he can use it to give Katniss and Peeta something they need in the Games.
